Quintet, op 43 - PARTS (Stewart) [1111-1 w/oboe doubling e.horn]
First performed in 1922, this staple for the woodwind quintet is both fun to play and to listen to. In this new edition (2001) from Trillenium the parts are thoughtfully laid out with ample cues and intelligent page turns. Piece runs about 20 minutes. Oh, yes - for those of you bassoonists that forgot your low A extension for the last note of the piece, you can also try popping the English Horn bell into your own. Guess you could play it as first space A, but what fun is that! Oboe doubles on English Horn. Parts only.
