Solos for Clarinet - 35 Repertoire Pieces (Schmidt)
The latest release in the "Solos for..." Series, Solos for Clarinet, has been prepared by a distinguished teacher and performer, Denise Schmidt. Ms. Schmidt, Clarinet Professor and Coordinator of Music Education at Mars Hill College, Mars Hill, North Carolina, has drawn from the extensive Carl Fischer catalog of clarinet solos and other sources to create this comprehensive collection of solos for clarinet players, judiciously mixing transcriptions of familiar classics with solos written specifically for the clarinet. This All-Time Favorites folio has representative pieces from all periods of music and includes music by J.S. Bach, Luigi Bassi, Ludwig van Beethoven, Michael Bergson, Ferdinand David, Georges Guilhand, Ralph Herrman, Gene Morra, Robert Schumann, Elie Siegmeister, Hugh M. Stuart and Carl Maria von Weber, among others. Many of the works involved are on state and festival lists and the performance levels range from Grade 2 through Grade 5.
