Adagio (Vachey/Silvy) [Bb & C solo parts included]
Baroque/20th Century. An original work by 20th century musicologist and Albinoni biographer Remo Giazotto (1910-1998), penned to sound like the works of Baroque composer Tomaso Albinoni. Giazotto originally claimed the work to be a transcription of a fragment by Albinoni, but then later changed his story to state it was his original melody and harmony over an Albinoni bass line. This is the popular "Adagio" melody made famous on many recordings. Opening statement is a descending quarter-dotted eighth/sixteenth line. Key of Cm, 3/4 time. For trumpet in Bb or C - both parts are included.
