20th Century. French comoser Alain Louvier. The title of this work The Five Headed Hydra refers to the fact that it may be played by horn, trombone, alto saxophone, clarinet or bassoon with piano accompaniment. The composer uses notes common to all of these instruments and has kept the parts simple in comparison to the moderate avant-garde complexities of the piano part. The work is based upon ten notes easily to be mastered even by students not yet very advanced technically. Score & parts.
