20th Century. French Conservatory. Translating to "Barcarolle and Drinking Song," this work features a wonderful lyrical first movement. Perhaps of all the rep I've played, this relatively unknown work got the most interest from fellow trombonists. Its first movement is replete with bright French harmonies. The "light and spirited" second movement is a great deal of fun without being terribly difficult." -cdp
