20th Century (ca. 1960). Emile Lauga was a trombonist who performed with the Paris Opera in the early 20th Century. This work is written in a bravura Concerto style with moderate range, key and rhythmic demands, with a solo part completely in bass clef. The work is obscure and all but unknown today. It is in two movements, and is appropriate for both recital performance as well as adjudication purposes. -cdp
