Romantic. Originally written for piano (movement 6 of the Six Morceau, op 19), this work was transcribed for cello & piano by Wilhelm Fitzenhagen. Fitzenhagen was the cellist who premiered the Rococo Variations in 1877. The transcription, raised a half step to D, was later orchestrated for cello & orchestra by Tchaikowsky himself. The present edition adds suggested fingerings and tried to resolve many discrepencies in the original piano scores (there were three). Score & parts.
