Romantic. A collection of 13 advanced level duets, mainly in the sharp keys. For 2 tenors or tenor & bass trombone. Both parts in bass clef. Antoine Dieppo was the first trombone professor at the Paris Conservatory when trombone was reintroduced to the school in 1836. He was principal trombonist in the Paris Opera House in 1840 and was the subject of several special solo parts in Berlioz' compositions. He wrote a method book that is no longer in use. His music, and these duets reflect the musical language of that time and place. -cdp
