While residing in Antwerp in 1551, Susato composed a collection of sixty popular dances for a four-part instrumental group titled "La Danserye." Peter Fielding has selected and deftly arranged six of the most often performed of these Renaissance dances into a suite for 4-part ATTB (or TTTB) trombone ensemble of advanced performers: 1. Bergerette [Sh„fertanz] (Shepherd's Dance) 2. Salterelle [Hupfauf] 3. Danse de Hercules oft matricine [Herkulestanz] (Dance of Hercules) 4. Bergerette sans roch [Sch„fertanz] (Shepherd Dance) 5. Reprise [Nachtanz] (After Dance) 6. Pavane La Battaille [Die Schlacht] (The Battle) The 1st part has separate parts in alto and tenor clefs. - the publisher
