Romantic. Five Songs, Op. 41 were first published in 1867 and were Brahms' only foray into a cappella men's chorus. The songs are of contrasting character, ranging from serious and dark to exuberant and carry the genius of the great composer in each work. Karl Hinterbichler has arranged the Five Songs for a four part trombone ensemble of moderately advanced performers totalling about 14 minutes of music. -the publisher
