Popular showpiece by violinist and composer Niccolo Paganini (1782-1840), is the most difficult solo recorded by Mendez. As the title implies, the soloist must perform a continuous motion of fast double-tongued sixteenth notes for over minutes without any break whatsoever - including time to breathe! In order to play continuously like the violin, Mendez became a master of "circular breathing," a method of inhaling through the nose while exhaling through the mouth. -publisher
