Baroque. For trumpet in C (Bb & C parts included). This Baroque work is written in the typical form of the "sonata da chiesa" in four movements, slow-fast-slow-fast. The trumpet is silent in the slow movements. Movements entitled: Grave; Allegro; Grave;Allegro. The theme of the second movement is similar to the French "Marches de Triomphe". An enjoyable baroque work which technically might be approached by the intermediate player except for the higher tessitura, primarily in the last movement (stays on top of the staff and reaches high C).
