20th century (1953). French composer Jacques Casterede. Solo parts in Bb & C included. First movement is entitled "Allegro energico" and is light and occasionally humorous in style. The middle "Andantino" movement requires cup mute and is written primarily in the mid register and features a repeated rhythmic motive within a variety of lyrical, melodic contours. The final "Rondo" movement returns to the energetic style of the first movement and provides a variety of dynamic contrasts. Range from low A below the staff to high Bb above (optional high Eb above the staff at the end).
