In 1551 while residing in Antwerp, Susato composed a collection of sixty popular dances entitled La Danserye for a four-part instrumental group. Andrew Poirier has selected and arranged eight of these dances for 13-part symphonic brass ensemble with percussion for advanced performers. Movements include La Mourisque; Bergeret; Les Quatre Branles; Trombonen; Den hoboecken dans; Ronde & Aliud; Basse danse: Mon desir; Pavane: La Battaille. Mr. Poirier's arrangement is the first for this sized group and is dedicated to the Vancouver Brass Orchestra debut performance in 2019. -the publisher/cdp
