Baroque. Pergolesi's Sonata No. 4 has been deftly arranged by Ross Holcombe for trombone (or low brass) quartet. This work was originally for a trio, but Mr. Holcombe has added in a fourth part that may be performed on bass trombone or tuba. The work hasbeen made famous by Igor Stravinsky's famous Pulcinella Ballet, which contains much of the two outer movements. -the publisher
