Jazz. If the title doesn't suggest the tune on which the chords in this Curt Berg chart is based, it will soon become apparent when played. The key, however, modulates up a minor third half-way through the tune. This is mostly a modern-sounding arrangement with an angular melody and interesting chord substitutions, but there is a quasi-Dixie section near the end. The first solo section alternates bass and bass trombone, and the fourth bone gets an extended solo later. The solos sections follow the harmonic format of the head. This is a fairly difficult arrangement, but probably playable by excellent college ensembles. Difficult. Scored for 5 tenors, 1 bass & rhythm. Score & parts. --the publisher
