Aase's Death is an elegy depicting the death of Peer Gynt's mother dying alone on a mountain. It is simple and powerful. Ed Hayes and Frank Harmantas have scored this work for 5-part trombone ensemble. This 4-minute work is playable by moderately advanced performers except for the top part which goes up to a couple high D's and needs some endurance. -the publisher
