Am Grabe, WAB.2 (Reynolds) [optional w/contrabass]
Romantic. Bruckner's Am Grabe (At the Grave) WAB 2 is an elegy he composed for a cappella four men's voice choir in 1861 for the funeral of Josephine Hafferl. It is a short but powerful setting of a sacred poem of three verses by Ernst von Marinelli. Jeff Reynolds has arranged this work for trombone quartet with an optional 5th contrabass trombone part (it adds a lot of depth) also playable on bass trombone. This work is appropriate for intermediate performers (1st part is in tenor clef). Score & parts. -the publisher
