Romantic (1910). Tcherepnin's opus 35 was originally composed for french horn quartet. This set of six short pieces has been adapted for trombone ensemble by Charles DePaolo. The first part has a high tessitura, owing to the work's origins, while the other parts are of normal range. Clefs are TTBB with some tenor in the 3rd part. Movements include:
• 1. Night (Nocturne) • 2. An Old German Song (Ancienne Chanson Allemande) • 3. The Hunt (La Chasse) • 4. Dancers Choeur Danse) • 5. A Popular Song (Un Chant Populaire Russe) • 6. Chorale (Un Choral)
