Erfullet mit Schalle [to Fill with Sound], v.1 (Mittelacher)
For German Posauenchor. Although Posaunenchor might typically translate as "trombone choir," this term actually has a special meaning in German. It is typically a four part SATB trombone quartet where the top two parts are in C treble clef and are performed on soprano and alto trombones respectively. Alternately, the top two parts can be performed on horn and/or trumpet, but these players will have to read C treble clef. No substitute parts are provided. It is not a typical 4-part trombone choir where the upper three parts are performed on tenors. Additionally, it is traditional for all parts to read from a 4-part score, and that is the case here. Includes optional timpani part. -cdp
