Classical. Giulio Cesare in Egitto (Julius Caesar in Egypt) is an opera in three acts composed in 1724 for the Royal Academy of Music and is loosely based on events during the Roman Civil War of 49-45 BC. Justin Bland has arranged a suite of seven movements from Handel's opera for brass quintet. Length is about 20 minutes and is appropriate for advanced performers. Instrumentation is for trumpet 1 in B-flat and E-flat, trumpet 2 (Bb), horn, trombone and tuba. -the publisher
