20th Century. French composer Marie-Joseph Canteloube de Malaret. Danses Roumaines by Canteloube, are six Romanian dances for Piano written in 1930 after folk songs collected by Michel Vulpesco. The composer is best known for his collection of orchestrated folk songs from the Auvergne region of France titled Chants d'Auvergne. About 18 minutes in length, these six movements are suitable for advanced performers.
