This is one of the earliest modern alto trombone specific method books. Unlike some later volumes, this book does not have a great deal of explanation or instructional text, though there is a general introduction and a few pointers throughout. The book is comprised of 52 etudes that progress from very easy to the intermediate level. These 52 etudes are almost entirely based on simple intervals, basic scale tones and arpeggios. All are designed to help the player gain familiarity with the horn and its intonation. Also included are 11 pages of scale exercises and seven more advanced warmup studies. 43 pages total. --cdp
