For all brass players. Use this device to strengthen your chops in a manner not found with other embouchure training systems. The user places the flat part of the PETE behind the lips and in front of the teeth, then forms an embouchure. The standard exercise is to then gently pull the PETE away from the face while using the embochure to hold it back. The feeling is similar to playing high/loud over an extended period. The purpose of the PETE is to help develop the same muscles used in strenuous playing. An additional exercise has the PETE reversed, with the shaft end placed between the lips, with the lips focuses on holding the PETE in place. Silver plated metal. Gold plated metal (silver shown).
