The Allegro con grazia from Symphony No. 6, (one of Tchaikovsky's final works before his untimely death) is a most lovely movement with the unusual (for its day) time signature of 5/4. Nevertheless, the music skips along delightfully, always with a 2+3 lilt to it.
Jerald Juhnke has done a marvelous job arranging this movement for traditional brass quintet of 2 trumpets in B-flat (C trumpet parts are included as well), horn, trombone and tuba. - the publisher
