20th Century. A dramatic tone poem for brass quintet by Kerry Turner, The Casbah of Tetouan was conceived during a visit to Morocco in the summer of 1988. Rich sonorities, challenging technical passages, variety of timbres, moods, tempi and key signatures. Unusual effects included such as whistling (or Chinese bell), and fingernails on the bell (or tambourine). Exciting final wind up will bring the audience members to their feet!
