History:
In November of 2014 Buffalo, New York was at the center of an historic lake effect storm event that crippled our region. Homes were buried up to their gutters in snow, highway traffic was at a standstill for over an hundred miles with people stranded fordays, schools were closed for up up to a week. While shut in during this storm, I was reflecting on the success of our Daniel Floyd model baton because of the flat spot for the thumb and SFZ model because of the large ball that fills the palm and decidedto combine these concepts into the "Lake Effect" model. - the manufacturer
Editor's Note: "Lake Effect" is a weather-related term that refers to precipitation (usually meaning snow - no one much cares about rain), that occurs due to moisture coming off of nearby lakes. In this case, Buffalo, New York, is famously close to Lake Erie, from which it receives most of its infamous heavy wintertime weather.
